To be first choice for logistics services in our market for goods moving between our primary service areas: North, Central, and South America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
Mission:
Using our network of offices and services and those provided by agents and carriers, we will provide to our customers top quality logistics services, such as transportation, warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and consulting.
Customer care, service excellence, and a firm commitment to Customs compliance illustrate the differences that have led to Deringer's success as a leading logistics provider. 2009 represents a milestone in Deringer's history, as it celebrates, 90 years, of logistics excellence in providing a broad range of customizable services that include Customs brokerage, international freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution, cargo insurance, and consulting.
With over 30 offices strategically located at northern border and air/vessel ports through out the United States and a strong network of international agents, Deringer can help get your products to customers on time and in compliance.
Deringer understands that different companies have individual needs. As a flexible company, Deringer adapts its work processes and involvement appropriately to achieve its customers' goals.
Deringer employs a consultative approach to understand the needs of each company. This collaborative approach involves asking many probing questions at all levels of the organization. Company operations, corporate goals, and the current logistics framework are then evaluated to determine the resources required to deliv-er a customized solution. Once the partnership is formed, a team is assembled to ensure a smooth transition and to establish the new processes.
Through these means, Deringer establishes mutually beneficial, sustainable partnerships that will grow over time.
Over the years, Deringer has achieved many firsts in the industry. Some of these accomplishments include earning one of the first Customs Brokerage Licenses (US Customs Brokerage License #22), obtaining one of the first ISO 9001 certifications in the industry, receiving the first national permit--in person by the Customs Commissioner Raymond Kelly--and volunteering for and being selected by Customs as the pilot broker for the Broker Account Management Program. Additionally, Deringer has been certified as a full participant in the C-TPAT program by Customs since February 2003.
In 1919, Alfred Neel Deringer founded A.N. Deringer, Inc. as a privately held corporation providing Customs brokerage and clearing services. Today, the name Deringer still stands for the strong values and business ethics of its founder.
Deringer has an exemplary relationship with CBP and plays an important role in the formation of trade policies. Deringer's senior executives sit on committees with CBP, for example, Amy Magnus, District Manager, is a CBP Trade Ambassador and Robert DeCamp, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Consulting is a member of the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of Customs and Border Protection (COAC). Deringer also worked very closely with CBP during the test phase of eManifest and was the first company to submit an eManifest on a carrier's behalf.
Based on its strong relationship with CBP and its commitment to service excellence, Deringer is also involved with beta testing the new importer security filing transmissions with importers and offers online solutions for making this new requirement as seamless as possible.
At Deringer, our strong commitment to service excellence allows us to manage your logistics, so you can maximize your opportunities.
