WHAT FILE FORMATS TO SEND:

Photos: High resolution (300 pixels per inch or greater) digital images in any Photoshop-compatible format (.psd, .tif, .eps, .jpg, .bmp); all fonts in bitmapped images must be rasterized.

Logos: Vector-based artwork compatible with Adobe Illustrator CS3 or earlier (.ai or .eps) preferred; all fonts in vector logo files must be converted to outlines; all Pantone or RGB colors must be converted to CMYK values. Logos supplied as bitmapped images should conform to the requirements for photos above.

Text: Plain text file (.txt), Rich Text Format file (.rtf), or Microsoft Word (.doc) documents; text can also be cut-and-pasted into the body of an e-mail message, but separate attachments are preferred. Please keep mission statements and company profiles within the 125-word and 375-word maximums, respectively. Our editors will work with you to edit copy to fit, if necessary.

HOW TO SEND YOUR FILES:

Most files of 5MB or smaller can be sent as e-mail attachments to planner@inboundlogistics.com. If you have multiple images to send that would total more than 5MB, please send them in separate messages so that the will not exceed mail server limits.

For larger files, we will download them from an FTP site to which you provide us access, or you can upload it to our FTP site. Please contact planner@inboundlogistics.com, or call 212-629-1569 for information about uploading to our site.

Files should use names that are both Mac and Windows-friendly (32 characters or fewer, plus file extensions) and include your company name so that we can identify their source. Generic file names like "logo.eps" and "profile.doc" can become confused with or over-written by other files.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IMAGE SIZES:

Do not use images from your (or someone else's) web site. These images -- typically between 72 and 96 pixels per inch -- will not be of high enough resolution, or physically large enough, for print. When in doubt, bigger is always better. We can reduce image sizes to fit in your profile, but we cannot enlarge them.

Our template is designed to create a consistent reader experience. Its default layout uses a horizontally-oriented main image at 5.25" wide. The height can vary to suit the image itself. Vertically-oriented images are accepted, but may require layout changes that could greatly reduce or increase the amount of space available for text in the profile.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:

After receipt of your space reservation and insertion order, you will be contacted for materials and provided with the appropriate deadline information.

When your text and images are received, our editors and designers will create your profile page in accordance with our standard template layout and e-mail you a PDF proof for review and approval. Corrections and changes are possible at this point.

Upon receipt of your official approval (either a signed approval form faxed back to us or an e-mail stating that you have reviewed and approve the profile page for print), the profile will run in the planner section of the magazine as you approved it. Corrections and changes are no longer possible after approval has been received.
