IN BRIEF: New Services and Solutions

China Eastern Air Logistics Co., Ltd. (CEAL) deployed high-capacity automated guided vehicles (AGVs) from Lödige Industries to automate transportation of unit load devices. Six 10-foot AGVs have been implemented in CEAL’s cargo terminal 4 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Services
• Encore Fulfillment upgraded its inbound processing system, resulting in a 24- to 48-hour dock-to-shelf process that eliminates bottlenecks and enables brands to replenish routine stock levels faster and restock high-demand or fast-moving items.
• Adding more than 4.9 million square feet of warehouse space in the past 12 months, RJW Logistics Group opened its first West Coast flagship in Perris, California, as well as two new Illinois warehouses in the greater Chicago region.
• The CMA CGM Group signed a major agreement with AD Ports Group to expand the capacity of CMA Terminals Khalifa Port by nearly 1.8 million TEUs to 2.7 million TEUs—a nearly 50% increase in the terminal’s capacity. It is scheduled for completion in early 2028.
• Savills Operations Performance is a new integrated industrial real estate and operations advisory service within Savills Supply Chain Solutions that helps industrial users plan, design, and operate more efficient facilities through an integrated real estate and operations approach.

↑ Expanding its life sciences and healthcare capabilities, DHL Supply Chain completed a one-million-square-foot distribution center in Annville, Pennsylvania. Scheduled to open in 2026, the East Coast facility will operate as a Foreign Trade Zone and enable medical technology and pharmaceutical companies to leverage pre-certification opportunities and streamline regulatory coordination with agencies such as the FDA and USDA.
Transportation
• To expand its air freight network across South America, GEODIS signed a strategic interline agreement with Atlas Air and mas. The partnership allows GEODIS to offer direct connections from the Asia Pacific region and supports its growth in Brazil.
• Silk Way West Airlines signed an agreement with Airbus for the acquisition of two additional A350F freighters, bringing its total order for this next-generation model to four aircraft. The A350F can carry a payload of up to 122 tons, and covers a range of up to 5,406 miles.
• AIRZETA cargo airline launched operations and selected Vienna Airport as its primary European hub. The new South Korean cargo airline now operates regular cargo flights between Vienna and Seoul-Incheon, carrying shipments that include auto parts and battery materials, high-value industrial components, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and ecommerce consignments.

↑ Lufthansa Cargo added two destinations to its A321 short- and medium-haul freighter network starting in February 2026: Rome and Istanbul. The new connection from Frankfurt to Rome is offered once a week, on Saturdays, with flight number LH8344. The route continues from the Italian capital to Istanbul and the hub in Munich.
• WEC Lines improved transit times by adding new ports of call on its containerized freight service between Bilbao and the United Kingdom and Ireland. Offering an alternative to road transport from Spain, the service, renamed NWC Spain, departs from Bilbao on Fridays and arrives in Liverpool on Mondays and Dublin on Wednesdays. With the addition of new ports of call, the service rotation is Antwerp, Le Havre, Montoir-de-Bretagne, Bilbao, Gijón, Liverpool, and Dublin.
• JCL Logistics expanded its ocean freight services with the launch of a sea-freight office in Roosendaal, the Netherlands. The company now manages deep-sea and short-sea shipping activities in-house, in addition to offering warehousing and
road and rail transport services.

↑ AR Racking offers a new galvanized version of its AR LS system, with galvanized uprights—a medium-duty shelving solution designed for warehouses. The galvanized finish improves resistance to wear and demanding conditions (humidity, abrasion, frequent cleaning), reduces the need for maintenance, and increases the lifecycle of the installation.

↑ Hyster redesigned its three-wheel stand-up forklift, with updates focused on improving the operator experience and boosting productivity in unloading and dock-to-stock workflows in manufacturing operations. Key design elements include hydraulics that increase lift speed, a fully suspended floor that reduces shock and vibration transmitted to the operator by 65%, and a mast that boosts visibility.
