Honolulu Freight Service has provided multi-modal freight transportation solutions between the Continental U.S. and the Pacific destinations of Hawaii and Guam for nearly 90 years.

The company’s roots date to 1936, when Paul Beidleman delivered freight from Yuma, Arizona to Los Angeles, California under Yuma Merchants Express, including cargo destined for Honolulu.

Today the third-generation family-owned and operated company has dedicated operations throughout Hawaii, Guam, and four locations along the U.S. West Coast, offering full-service, door-to-door transportation solutions, including dry, refrigerated, inter-island, project and oversized cargo, and trucking.

Hawaii and Guam are serviced using state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure between, to, and on the islands. Honolulu Freight Service mixes California based regional less-than-truckload (LTL) and Truckload company owned equipment with a comprehensive mainland network of service providers offering door-to-door dry, refrigerated, and frozen transportation between any point on the mainland, Hawaii, and Guam. Service modes to and from each of the 50 states include Air Freight, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Barge and Specialized/Out-Of-Guage/Oversized cargo.

Our asset-based Hawaiian island delivery and warehousing solutions complement our robust service offerings between the islands, and the U.S. Mainland. With four existing locations on Oahu and Maui, and a fifth location to open in 2025 which adds to our existing dry, refrigerated, and frozen cargo solutions, the Honolulu Freight Service companies are the largest and most comprehensive intra and inter-island service provider in the market for door-to-door full-container-load (FCL) and less-than-container load (LCL) cargo solutions.
